We have been importing cars for clients for the last twenty years so we have gained considerable experience. The regulations here change almost from day to day so if you wish to bring your European vehicle over and change to Spanish registration use our contact page and we will respond and advise you on procedures and cost. Please note that in The Canary Islands there is an import tax ( unlike the Peninsular) and also a matriculation tax to pay.
One regulation that you must adhere too is, you have only one month from leaving the ferry to import the vehicle not six months as locals may indicate otherwise a fine will be applied.
There are certain circumstance whereby you can avoid the import tax but not the matriculation tax , i.e. if you are a non-resident and have had the car in your name for over one year. We can guide you on this.
WE CAN ASSIST CLIENTS ON BOTH LANZAROTE AND FUERTEVENTURA
IMPORTANT ask for advice before you decide to bring the vehicle rather than just turn up on the Island with it.
